• Vex IQ Robotics (A) - Explore robotics with the Vex IQ kits: Anatomy of a robot, VexCode introduction, Linear precision, Use of loops, Distance sensor, Conditional logic. Can you program your robot to solve a maze?

Term 2

• Unplugged - Think like a computer scientist, engaging with how data is represented and how algorithmic choices affect performance. Binary data; compression, searching, sorting, graph theory, algorithmic complexity.
• Block programming - Syntax/Variables/calculations/Selection/repetition

Term 3

• Animated light box (C) - Design an animated light pattern for your personalised LED light box, and implement it in block programming.
